Monique Gilbert is the Development Director for the Guanacaste Dry Forest Conservation Fund. Previously, Monique worked for the Meridian Institute as the writer/editor of an online news service covering food and agriculture policy and for the National Wildlife Federation (NWF) on water quality issues. She also worked for the Colorado Division of Wildlife studying endangered boreal toads and worked on water quality and quantity issues for a coalition of counties and towns in western Colorado. She is a commissioner for the State of Vermont Natural Resource Board’s Act 250 Commission and previously served on her town’s conservation commission. When she is not very happily working for GDFCF, Monique loves to be outside mountain biking, running, hiking, snowboarding, skiing, and bird watching – preferably with her kids, when she can get them to come along! Monique has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Vermont and a Master of Science from the University of Michigan School of Natural Resources and the Environment. Monique lives in Hinesburg, Vermont.
